The Chairman of Apapa-Iganmu Local Council Development Area, Honourable Jimoh Olawale Saliu has urged residents of the council area to take issues of their health very serious reports thegazellenews.com

Honourable Saliu stated that residents need to take regular medical check ups for early detection of any ailment which will allow early medication.

The Apapa-Iganmu LCDA Chairman gave this advice on Saturday, 11 April, 2026, in Badia during the opening ceremony of a medical outreach programme organised by his administration.
The medical outreach was organised in conjunction with the students of the Lagos State University College of Medicine.


The LASUCOM team was led by Adewole Yasir, President;
Yusuf Sulaiman, Team Leader and Welfare Director, Salau Ameerah.
“We have to take the issue of our health very seriously. We must go through regular medical checks. These will allow early detection which in turn leads to early remedies,” the Council boss said.
He commended the LASUCOM team for partnering with the council for programme.
He stated that his administration will hold regular medical outreach programmes for residents of the council area.

“We organised one four months ago, and this means we will be holding this programme quarterly and will be taken round the council area.
“We are here today, we will take it to another location next time,” Saliu said.
About 5,000 residents beniffted from the programme.
