The Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, has praised a member of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, James Abiodun Faleke, as a strategist.
The Sultan described him as the man many regard as a central figure in President Tinubu’s political strategy team.
The Sultan made the remarks while receiving members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), led by the DG of the Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdulazeez Yari, during a consultation visit to Sokoto Palace on Monday, September 14, 2026.
Speaking during the visit, the Sultan said, “he remains the one they call Faleke the Strategist. I was just reading something in the papers, how he has been doing some magical things, bringing people to themselves, to the party, and to the general politics of the country.”
He then extended his greetings to the delegation, saying, “I would like to greet everybody here in the most formal greeting: As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.”
The Sultan’s remarks came amid growing recognition of Falake’s role in coordinating political strategy within the camp of President Bola Tinubu’, with many describing him as a key figure behind recent political realignments across the country.
The APC delegation’s visit to the Sokoto Palace formed part of the Presidential Campaign Council’s consultation tour, aimed at engaging traditional and religious leaders ahead of the party’s political campaign activities.
