Three men have reportedly been arrested in Algeria after a failed attempt to illegally cross into Spain using an unusual disguise.
According to reports, the suspects tried to sneak across the border by hiding inside a truck transporting livestock. To avoid being noticed, they allegedly wore sheep costumes and mixed in with the animals.
However, the plan quickly fell apart during a routine inspection when border officials noticed some of the “sheep” moving strangely.
Authorities reportedly observed that a few appeared to be walking upright on two legs.
After a closer check, officers discovered that three of the animals were actually men in disguise. They were immediately removed from the truck and taken into custody.
The suspects are now said to be facing immigration fraud charges, and they could also face additional allegations for disturbing the livestock during the attempt. The unusual incident has since sparked widespread reactions online.
