Time Has Come For A New Voice of Nigeria, Says VON’s New DG

The new Director General of Voice of Nigeria, (VON), Jibrin Ndace, has assured that the agency will achieve greater heights during his tenure.

Ndace spoke during in his visit to VON Lagos Office at Ikoyi, the first after his assumption of office. 

He expressed his desire and determination to take VON to new heights emphasizing his role in facilitating progress for the communication outfit. He expressed immense gratitude to President Bola Tinubu and the Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris, for trusting in his abilities and granting him the opportunity to serve in this capacity.

He believed that VON, as the voice of Nigeria, plays a pivotal role in conveying the nation’s narrative to the global audience thereby enhancing its development and growth.

Ndace stated the position and the role of VON in terms of perception and growth, noting that he is willing to embrace the global growth by striking the balance.

Thus, he sought full co-operation and support from the staff so as to get job done.

He made a vow to attain new level for VON while also prioritising improved welfare for an effective and efficient working force.

“You can’t get the best from people you work with if you don’t work with their welfare,” he said.

The New DG said he intended to visit all the VON offices in the country but stated that the Lagos branch is the most important one, hence his maiden visit to the Lagos office which commenced his tour of VON offices in Nigeria.
