Truck Crushes Boy, Okada Rider To Death In Abia 

A pupil going to school was on Wednesday, 26 March, 2025 killed in Amaekpu Ohafia town, Ohafia LGA of Abia State, as a truck hit a motorcycle conveying him to school.

Also, the comercial motorcyclist who was conveying the boy to school was confirmed dead in the accident.

As of the time if filing this report, it had not been officially established if the accident was caused by over speeding on the part of the truck driver or break failure.

But some community members said that the truck which was fully loaded, hit the two victims from behind while on high speed.

Indigenes of the community who gathered at the scene, wept profusely even as they lamented the recklessness of comercial drivers along the Amaekpu -Ebem-Arochukwu road.

As at the time of filing this report, Abia State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) has yet to comment on the incident.
