Truck Driver Flees After Crushing Three To Death In Osun Road Accident

Trailer driver, whose truck rammed into a car and crushed three people to death in a road accident that occurred along Osogbo/Ikirun road,  has took to his heel immediately after crash to escape wrath of the people.

It was gathered that in the accident involving the truck and a car, all three victims were traveling in a car heading toward Ikirun, the same direction as the truck.

Also, the car that the deceased travelled in was completely damaged in the accident which occurred at about 8:25 pm on Tuesday, 27 February, 2023

Speaking on the accident on Wednesday, 28 February, 2024, the spokesperson of Osun Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kehinde Adeleke, said operatives that visited the scene reported that the crash was caused by reckless driving.

 “A fatal accident occurred around 2025 hrs on 27th February 2024 along Ikirun-Osogbo Expressway. The accident involved a Lexus 350 car and an unregistered trailer.

“The accident claimed three lives on the spot. According to an eye witness, the accident was a result of reckless driving and over-speeding by the driver of the said trailer who took to his heel immediately after the incident.

“The victims had been taken to a yet-to-be-identified morgue,” Adeleke said.
