Weeks after their record-extending and record-breaking victory at the Women African Cup of Nations (WAFCON), six members of the victorious Super Falcons are yet to get their luggage, report thegazellenews.com.
According to report posted on the Facebook page of Ifeoluwa Leo-Olagbaye, the six Super Falcons are still battling to retrieve their luggage weeks after the end of the competition.

Thegazellenews.com recalled that the Super Falcons beat Morocco after coming back from two goals down in the first half to win 3-2 thereby their record of most WAFCON wins to 10.
Thegazellenews.com also recalled that the Super Falcons also broke the record of most continental title with their triumph in Morocco placing them above the United States of America (USA) with nine continental titles.
Thegazellenews.com reports further that: team captain, Rasheedat Ajibade; mercurial midfielder, Tony Payne; top scorer for Nigeria at the tournament, Chinwedu Ihezuo; gangling striker, Ifeoma Onumonu; energetic midfielder, Deborah Abiodun; and new kid on the bloc, Folashade Ijamilusi are yet to get their luggage weeks after the event.
This medium learnt that the Valujet Chartered Flight sent to pick the Super Falcons of Nigeria players after their victory in Morocco was allegedly hijacked by some federation officials who allegedly took the luggage slot meant for the players.
“Collectively, we must ensure they are saved the embarrassment and trauma of hoping against hope if they will ever get their bags and valuable items again.
“Covering the game isn’t enough support – speaking up, lending a voice to their struggles and calling out a culpable Federation to their responsibilities is how to SUPPORT the ladies,” Ifeoluwa Leo-Olagbaye said in the report.
