The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has disclosed reason why it is yet to take any decision regarding the disagreement within the Labour Party(LP) and the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), thegazellenews.com
According the electoral empire, it is carefully studying the judgment of the Supreme Court on the LP and will communicate its decision to the public in due course.

On PDP, the commission stated that the name of the National Secretary of the party on the same website was neither deleted nor reinstated
The commission made this disclosure in response to certain media reports claiming it has recognised specific individuals as the National Chairman and National Secretary of the party.

The Chief Press Secretary to the INEC Chairman, Rotimi Oyekanmi, said, who stated this in a press statement said, : “The names of the National Officers of the LP had previously been uploaded to our website following a court order, not related in any way to the latest judgment of the Supreme Court.”
“In the same manner, the name of the National Secretary of the PDP on the same website was neither deleted nor reinstated.
“As a law-abiding institution, the Commission is carefully studying the judgment of the Supreme Court on the Labour Party and will communicate its decision to the public in due course,” the statement added.
