I left Nigeria in the company of my wife on Sunday, 8 March 2020, on a medical trip as counselled by different medical experts and consultants. All the counsels made reference to a particular specialist Hospital. I was not rushed out on emergency as some mischief makers have claimed around town.
For clarity, sometime ago, I hurt one of my bone joints. I thought I had treated the injury perfectly but it later developed into Osteoarthritis, which can best be cured by othopedic surgery. That was the crux of my sojourn away from the country. I had no internal organ problem or any critical and devastating ailment that some had attributed me on account of my trip.
The surgery was successfully carried out. But at the time of my eventual discharge from the hospital, Nigeria had locked down its airspace and no flight could come into the country.
My wife and I took the advantage of the extended stay to procure COVID 19 test with the Health Authority of our host country and both of us tested negative to the pandemic virus. I will urge every individual to be bold to ascertain his or her health status  in respect of this globally virulent virus. It is more assuring and helps to save one of unnecessary apprehensions.
It is so disheartening that some funny characters in their old ages, could  engage in the mischief of fabricating and peddling ugly rumours about my state of  health, wishing me what they could not wish their children.
Rather than wishing them anything near  what they wished me, I will leave them to the perfect judgement of God.
For all those that expressed genuine concerns about my very curious absence from circulation for almost two months, I extend my apreciations and pray that you and your household will never know sorrow.
I must acknowledge the wonderful interventional communications that Hon. Abike Dabiri Erewa  had with me as the Director General of the Nigeria Diaspora Commission, throughout our struggle to be part of stranded Nigerians to be airlifted back to the country.
I came  back to  the country on Wednesday,  6 May 2020, but  together with other returnees, we are currently quarantined as demanded of us by the NCDC. But we will soon join you after the mandatory quarantine period under terms and conditions that have been established as precautions for the spread of these virus. It is for the safety of all.
To the Coordinator  and members of the Onward Movement of Nigeria, I thank you for holding forth while I was out of the country at such a crucial moments so important in our constituency and community engagement.
My best gratitude is to the eternally Unique one,
The most merciful, The bestower of mercy, The King and owner of dominion, the absolutely pure, the giver of peace, The guardian
the Almighty, the Restorer,  the majestic.
The all and often forgiving, the giver of gift, the provider, the perfect judge,
The omniscient,  The exalter,
The honourer, The all hearing, The all seeing
The giver of undiluted justice, The utterly just
The most for bearing
The magnificent, the exalted, the greatest
The  all protecting
The sustainer,
The reckoner, The majestic, The most loving. The resurrection,
The steadfast the most praiseworthy, The giver of life, The ever living.
My God, My armour!
For me and my family, we are over-comers, and of course, Ise Oluwa nte siwaju.
Agunbiade S.O.B, Majority Leader, Lagos State House of Assembly and Opomulero of Ikorodu
