The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has described the African Democratic Congress(ADC), presidential ticket of Atiku Abubakar and former Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amaechi, as a joint ticket of corruption.
The controversial Wike made the scratching remarks launched the blistering attack on Monday at a town hall interactive meeting with the Rumueme and Apara kingdoms in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.
He said the coalition does not stand any chance of securing the mandatory 25% constitutional vote share in Rivers State.
The former Rivers State Governor recalled the verdict former President Olusegun Obasanjo passed on Atiku.
According to him, Atiku cannot lay claim to moral integrity, having monumental corruption baggage that was laid bare by his former boss.
Speaking on Atiku’s running mate, Amaechi, Wike said his inclusion only worsens an already morally bankrupt ticket.
“When I saw Atiku on television yesterday, asking Nigerians to take any money given to them by people from the party in power, saying that it will be stolen money, I said, ‘Haa, Atiku is now an apostle of anti-corruption? ADC’s Atiku-Amaechi ticket is a joint of corruption ticket.
“The same Atiku that his boss described as corrupt and said one of his major regrets was making him (Atiku) his vice president is talking,” Wike said.
