Woman Commits Suicide In MFM Church Auditorium

In what is seen as a suspected case of suicide,  41-year-old woman named as Benita Lurk Ikuenobe, was found dead at the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, MFM, Prayer City, located along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State.

The sad development, it was gathered occurred on Friday, 18 july, 2025

It was gathered that the deceased, was found unresponsive inside the main auditorium of the worship centre.

According to the church’s Chief Security Officer, Esiere Ekikere, he received an emergency call around 7:20 a.m., alerting him to an unconscious woman lying on the auditorium floor.

According Ekikere, upon reaching the location, he found the woman motionless, with an empty bottle of a suspected toxic substance, believed to be Sniper, beside her. The incident was immediately reported to the police.

Law enforcement officers arrived at the scene and carried out preliminary documentation, including photographing the area for investigative purposes.

The body was subsequently evacuated and deposited at Real Divine Hospital morgue, where an autopsy is expected to be conducted to confirm the exact cause of death.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
