The Ondo State Police Command on Thursday, 27 November, confirmed that it operatives have commenced an investigation into the death of a yet-to-be-identified woman found in a hotel room in Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area of the state.
The woman’s lifeless body was reportedly discovered on Wednesday, 26 November, 2025 inside the facility located along the Ore–Okitipupa Road, while the man who checked into the room with her fled the scene.

It was gathered that both individuals arrived together earlier in the day before staff later found the woman dead.
“The two were seen together earlier in the day, but when a worker of the hotel got to the room, the lady was seen lifeless on the bed, and the man could not be found.

“It was the person who drew the attention of other hotel staff to the scene. Immediately, the matter was reported at the police station in Ore,” a source said.
It was learnt that there were no visible injuries or signs of struggle in the room.
Confirming the incident on Thursday, 27 November, 2025 the Ondo State Police Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, said operatives had begun efforts to track down the fleeing suspect.
“We have begun an investigation, and efforts are ongoing to arrest the fleeing suspect,” he said.
The body of the deceased has been deposited in a hospital morgue in the community.
