Organised youth front under the leadership of SOHEDU initiative Africa on Tuesday, 6 January, 2026, held policy dialogue on implementations of National youth policy.
The gathering which drew youth groups such as National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Yalli Network and several other youth related bodies held several sessions to enlighten youth on the need for them to press the Kebbi state government to ensure full implementations of National youth policy with particular interest to creating a budget line which is in tandem with the budget provisions for youth.
Speaking at the dialogue, Kebbi state Chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria, Ahmed Abubakar Khalifa highlighted the need for government at all levels to push for budget alignment to conform with national youth policy.
Earlier, in his speech, the SOHEDU Leader, Comrade Marwan Gwamba stated that the youth dialogue seeks to push for national youth policy promulgated by the federal government to cater for the needs of Nigerian youth who are unarguably the backbone of every society.
“The dialogue intends to get a budget alignment which will fuel the proper implemention of national youth policy in Kebbi so as to guarantee full benefits for youth in the state “.
Responding on behalf of Kebbi state government, the state Commissioner for Youth Development, Alhaji Nura Bala Fingila said that youth under Governor Nasir Idris are well accommodated under several youth policies designed by the state government to ensure youth in the state get the deserving sense of belonging.
The one day dialogue held at NYCN Youth House in Birnin Kebbi was attended by youth leaders from far and near who gave inputs on how to chart ways of meeting the demands of youth across Kebbi and Nigeria.
