The Zamfara State Government’s claim that the newly appointed Permanent Secretary, Dr. Maryam Keshinro Ismaila, is not an indigene of the state has been debunked by a fact-check investigation conducted by PRNigeria.

The investigation, which involved verifying Dr. Keshinro’s bio-data and obtaining letters from the Tsafe Emirate Council and other credible sources, confirms that she is indeed an indigene of Tsafe Local Government in Zamfara State.

The Zamfara State Government had written to the Head of Service of the Federation, claiming that Dr. Keshinro did not meet the eligibility criteria for the position of Permanent Secretary due to her alleged non-indigenship. However, PRNigeria’s investigation has revealed that this claim is false and misleading.

Dr. Keshinro’s bio-data shows that she was born in Gunmi, Zamfara State, and is an indigene of Tsafe. The Tsafe Emirate Council has also issued a letter confirming her indigenship. Additionally, several credible sources from Tsafe, including her neighbors and classmates, have attested to her origins.

PRNigeria’s fact-check conclusion states that Dr. Maryam Keshinro Ismaila is indeed an indigene of Zamfara State, and the Zamfara State Government’s claim to the contrary is false and misleading.
