Zuru Monarch Felicitates Kebbi Gov On Kauran Nupe Chieftaincy Title

The Emir of Zuru, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi Mika’ilu Sami Gomo lll, has congratulated Comrade Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State on receiving the prestigious traditional title of Kauran NUPE Kingdom from the Etsu Nupe of Bida and Chairman of Niger state Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar.

The Emir praised Governor Idris as a “humble, focused, accommodating, and detribalized leader” whose humility and generosity have showcased his patriotic commitment to national unity and peace.

Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi Sami Gomo lll recalled that
Governor Idris recently hosted a meeting of the Northern Traditional Rulers Council, chaired by Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar lll, to address armed banditry in Northern Nigeria.

On behalf of the people of Zuru Emirate, the Emir restated their prayers for Allah’s continuos guidance and unflinching support for the success of the governor’s endeavours now and in the future.

The Etsu Nupe has in the conferment letter he signed stated that the honour is in appreciation of His Excellency’s resiliance and commitment to reorganising, sustaining and further strengthening the historical relationship between Gwandu Emirate and Nupe kingdom.

Governor Idris holds several traditional titles, including Gwarzon Daular Usmaniya from Sokoto Caliphate, Kauran Gwandu, Jigon Kabi Argungu, Gamjin Yauri from Yauri emirate, Garkuwan Zuru from Zuru emirate, and now Kauran NUPE Kingdomfrom Bida emirate, Niger state.
