The Senator representing Lagos Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Wasiu Sanni Eshilokun has inaugurated the Media & Public Relations Committee for his campaign, reports thegazellenews.com.

The inauguration took place on Monday, 7 September, 2026 at the Conference Room of the Constituency Office of the Senator.

On hand to witness the inauguration was Alhaji A. G. O Sadiq, co-Chairman of the Working Committee for the Senator’s Campaign team.

The inauguration is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen communication, deepen grassroots engagement, and ensure effective dissemination of the Senator’s activities, achievements, and programmes to constituents and stakeholders.

The 13-member committee comprises representatives drawn from all five local governments and eight local council development areas within Lagos Central.

This structure guarantees broad-based representation and a strong grassroots presence across the district.

Key Mandate of the Committee:

Coordinate media and public relations initiatives

Manage communication channels

Ensure accurate and timely dissemination of information

Document constituency engagements

Highlight legislative and developmental interventions

At the inauguration, emphasis was placed on professionalism, accuracy, teamwork, and responsible communication.

Members were charged to maintain strong grassroots links and ensure information from the Senator’s office reaches the people in a clear and timely manner.

As we approach the 2027 general elections, the Committee will play a strategic role in amplifying visibility for constituency programmes, strengthening public engagement, and coordinating communication across both traditional and digital media.

Senator Eshilokun urged members to discharge their duties with dedication, discipline, and integrity, in support of his vision of effective representation and responsive leadership.
