President Muhammadu Buhari has sacked Saratu Umar from Office as the Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC).

Presidential spokesman Femi Adesina, made this disclosure in a statement issued on Thursday, 6 April, 2023.

The statement added that the decision was contained in a directive to the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo.

The one page statement, which did not give reasons for terminating Umar’s appointment, also directed that the most senior director in the commission take over in the interim immediately.
