Hackers Into INEC Portal Should Be Found, Arrested, Prosecuted

One or two of Nigeria’s opposition parties, possibly arranged the hacking of INEC’s system to compromise the 2023 Presidential Elections.

They were proactive in their evil. They had hoped to hang their Election Petition on the expected disparity between what a compromised IREV broadcast would have shown on screen, and what the real figures from the Polling Units would have been. That disparity would have been their “proof” of a rigged election.

This can only be the logical reason why they went round the world alleging disparity in election result figures, but have been unable to show physical copies of any election results from even one Polling Unit, whose figures is at variance with any figures which INEC declared.

INEC and the Security Services should stop hiding facts from Nigerians. This is important so that honest Nigerians will give INEC its due praise for its productive alertness which saved the integrity of the 2923 Presidential Elections despite all contrived lies to the contrary.

The revelation of findings of the security services is also important so that we will not fall for the antics of some mindlessly evil Nigerians and their foreign collaborators, currently rubbishing our institutions for their own selfish interests.

The facts of the hacking must also be made available to the National Assembly, so that the members will not be misled into making any electronically transmitted election results superior to the physical results that we get from every Polling Unit.

No supposedly transmitted result can ever be and should ever be made superior to the original Election Results physically recorded on Form EC8A at every Polling Unit and given by hand to every Party agent present. Even Voters take pictures of the filled Form EC8A at the Polling Units in a more transparent system impossible to hack.

Election Results on the Form EC8A have never failed in Nigeria to reflect the truth about what happened in a Polling Unit because many witnesses must have the same copies if it is the true reflection of what happened at the Polling Unit.

An electronically transmitted election result is still a copy of the physical original. Possession of the physical original result of an election by the many witnesses at a Polling Unit, is always more reliable and more trustworthy.

Nigerians who will never agree that a Bank’s means of transmitting information about a cash lodgement is more important that the Teller which is a physical proof of the lodgement, will never see a supposed copy of an election    as suddenly more important that the physical bank teller.
