Senator Babafemi Ojudu—journalist, social critic, rights crusader, former Presidential Adviser on Political Affairs and his wife, Omotola started the year on a good note.

His son, Bidemi Oluwaseun Ojudu, got married to his beloved, Oluwademilade Osunsina, in a grand traditional ceremony that pulled together not just two families but the highest tiers of Nigeria’s political, media and corporate elite on Monday, 5 January, 2026 at Harbour Point Event Centre, Lagos.

In his personally signed invitation to distinguished guests announcing the ceremony, Senator Ojudu extended the message with a depth of gratitude only a father can express at such a defining moment.

The letter reads: “It gives me immense joy, with a heart full of gratitude to the Almighty, to invite you to share in the celebration of a most cherished milestone in my family’s life”.

Ekiti state Governor Biodun Oyebanji, home state of the distinguished Senator and father of the groom led other dignitaries: former Governor of Ekiti State, Otunba Niyi Adebayo; former Deputy Governor of Lagos State and Ambassador-designate, Otunba Femi Pedro; Lagos First Lady, Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu; Speaker, Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Adeoye Aribasoye; Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr Niyi Asebayo; Presidential Spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga; amongs to honour the Ojudus and the Osunsinas.

Senator Ojudu is a strong supporter of the Governor and one of Ekiti’s frontline political leaders.
