Recalled that on Friday, 15 August, 2025, thegazelle.com published the story of how six Super Falcons players have been unable to get their luggage three weeks after their memorable triumph.

Popular sports analyst, IfeOluwa Leo-Olagbaye posted the story on her Facebook page.
The six players affected: Captain Rasheedat Ajibade; midfielders: Tony Payne and Deborah Abiodun; and strikers: Ifeoma Onumonu and Folashade Ijamilusi have since returned to their bases with the new footballing season starting this weekend.
IfeOluwa Leo-Olagbaye on Saturday, 16 August, 2025, confirmed that the luggage are now in Nigeria.
“According to Osasu Obayiuwana on X, all Six Super Falcons of Nigeria players: Rasheedat Ajibade, Ifeoma Onumonu, Toni Payne, Folasade Ijamilusi, Chinwendu Ihezuo and Deborah Abiodun whose luggage were erstwhile left in Morocco have now arrived Nigeria after a traumatic THREE Weeks of waiting,” she wrote.
According to her, “the bags are now said to be at the storage of NAHCO Aviation cargo section of Murtala Mohammed International Airport.
“The big question now is when will the bags be sent to the players all of whom have now returned to their respective clubs: both Rasheedat Ajibade and
Ifeoma Onumonu are back in France; Toni Payne is back in England rejoining her Everton teammates; Folasade Ijamilusi is now in China; Chinwendu Ihezuo back in Mexico and Deborah Abiodun back in the United States of America.
“The situation will be monitored so closely until every single player receives her luggage INTACT!
“For the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Ibrahim Gusau and the National Sports Commission (NSC) Chairman, Shehu Dikko, nothing short of a proper shipping and handing over to each player will be accepted”.
