All is now set for the 3rd Ramadan Lecture In honour of the parents of the Commander of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Saheed Olayinka Egbeyemi, reports thegazellenews.com
The epoch-making 3rd Late Abdel-Azeez and Late Alhaja Sariyu Egbeyemi takes place on Sunday, 7 April, 2024, coinciding with the 28th day of the Ramadan month.
It takes place at Egbeyemi’s house, Babaloke Villa on the popular Market Street, Gbogunleri area of Agege. Babaloke was the nickname Egbeyemi’s father was known with when he was alive.
The city of Agege has been agog since the event wss made public by the organisers last last week.
“Egbeyemi’s Ramadan Lecture is an event we look forward to in Agege since it started three years ago. From the spiritual angle, there are soul-searching lectures while a lot of people receive gifts and packages for Ramadan. I can’t wait for this one to come and God spare our lives, I’ll be there inshaaaa Allah,” Abdul Hakeem Yusuf who lives at Alagbigba Street told this medium on Wednesday, 3 April, 2024.
Another respondent, resident of Oniwaya Road stated that she is looking forward to attending the event. “I’ll be there inshaaaa Allah, may Almighty Allah continue to bless CSP Egbeyemi,” Hajia Ameenah Olojede told our correspondent.
A lot of events have been lined up for the day.
There reading from the Holy Quran, opening remarks by CSP Egbeyemi himself, the main lecture by guest speaker and rememberance of Allah (Adhikir).
The main lecture titled ‘the Five Pillars of Islam’ will be delivered by Sheikh Ahmad Rufai Abdullahi Salaty.
Sheikh Tijani Imam Mukhtar Danlami will be the Spiritual Father of the Day while Sheikh Amusa Habeebulah Olayiwola will be the Chief Host.
