The immediate past Chairman of Òdì-Olowo/Ojuwoye Local Council Developemnt Area, Hon. Rasaq Olusola Ajala, was inaugurated as the Deputy Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council for the PBAT-KOH leading other political heavyweights from the council area into the council reports thegazellenews.com.
This fear, positions Ajala at the administrative apex of the ruling party’s regional electioneering machinery ahead of the 2027 general elections, a confirmation of his ability to galvanise, mobilise and initiate ideas complimenting it with the ability to implement policies.
The inauguration took place on Friday, 18 September, 2026, at the APC State Secretariat on Acme Road, Ogba.
Apart from Ajala, other political heavyweights from the council area were given important roles and inaugurated.
Among them is the incumbent Chairman of the LCDA, Dr Seyi Jakande, who was sworn in as the campaign organisation’s Strategic Coordinator.
The ceremony further saw a roster of political stakeholders from the local council take oaths of office for various specialised directorates spanning Traditional Institutions, Administration and Logistics, Contact and Mobilisation, and the Women Directorate.
Among the prominent figures deployed into these key organs were former lawmaker, Hon. Funmilayo Tejuosho; LCDA APC Party Chairman, Hon. Ismail Babatunde; Hon. Rasheed Lawal (Kowope); Hon. Femi Odusote (FASO); Hon. Sunday Olowa; Hon. Lateef Akinsemoyin; Chief Rafiu Aderomola; and Comrade Hakeem Bello (Pressy).
The event attracted the peak of Lagos State’s political class, with influential members of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, serving federal ministers, state commissioners, and members of the Lagos State House of Assembly, led by their Speaker, in attendance alongside top party chieftains from all 57 local government council structures.
Following the formal procedures, the newly inaugurated officials collectively pledged absolute dedication and loyalty to their respective portfolios.
With Ajala driving the administrative apparatus as Deputy Director-General and Jakande anchoring field execution as Coordinator, the Òdì-Olowo political structure has moved to the front lines of the ruling party’s upcoming statewide voter engagement campaign.
