Thirteen years ago, I wrote this about you. Today, my thoughts about you remained the same but strengthened as you remained consistent and truly yourself even now as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Mr President, Asiwaju, Akanbi, Olodo de Omo Abibatu.

A phenomenon, an enigma, a moment, a period, and indeed a generation.
A measure of a time.
To me, also a mentor who is most often right. Even when wrong, he is justifiably right.

To your generation, an Obafemi Awolowo reincarnate, to my generation a Mahatma Gandhi lookup and to the younger generation a combination of Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jnr. expectation.

Mr. President, to many, you are yourself, a generational phenomenon.

Now as the President of the world’s most populous black nation, we cannot but be grateful to God as you continue to trade your God given moment and live for shared wisdom, Nigeria’s prosperity and desired unity”.

A true progressive and Pro democracy activist, I am grateful to God to have drank and still drinking from your “well of political wisdom”.

I join many others in Nigeria and worldwide to wish you a Happy Birthday.

The Lord Almighty will continue to Strengthen and Bless you with Divine wisdom. His mercy shall continue to be with you and your family.

Mr. President Sir, Asiwaju, Baba,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY and CONGRATULATIONS

Comrade Kayode Opeifa Ph.D, FInstTA, FTPN
Managing Director, NIGERIAN RAILWAY CORPORATION
(One of your sons and Political Brought-Ups)
