The All Progressives Congress (APC) has celebrated its National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, on the occasion of his 58th birthday anniversary, commending him for a year of purposeful leadership and remarkable accomplishments since assuming office.

The party’s National Working Committee (NWC), in a statement issued on Friday, 8 August, 2026, in Abuja and signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, CON, described the milestone as an opportunity to thank God for His grace, protection and wisdom upon the life of the National Chairman, while celebrating his unwavering dedication to the growth of the party and the progress of the nation.
The NWC noted that since assuming office, Yilwatda has provided forthright and inclusive leadership that has strengthened the APC’s internal democracy, deepened party unity and enhanced its institutional capacity.
According to the statement, the party successfully implemented its landmark electronic membership registration exercise under his watch, expanded its membership base and further consolidated its position as Nigeria’s largest political party.
The party stated that in alignment with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Yilwatda has continued to strengthen and position the APC for sustained electoral successes, while reinforcing its commitment to democratic values, good governance and national development.
On behalf of the National Working Committee, the National Executive Committee, leaders, members and supporters of the party at home and abroad, the NWC extended its heartiest congratulations to the National Chairman on the special anniversary.
The party prayed that God would grant him many more years of sound health, wisdom, strength and divine grace as he continues to lead the APC to greater accomplishments in service to Nigeria and humanity.
