The All Progressives Congress (APC)has inaugurated coordinators of the Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat Consolidated Renewed Hope 2027 campaign group in Eti-Osa East Local Council Development Area, firing the opening shot of what the party describes as a determined grassroots mobilisation drive to secure victory for President Bola Tinubu’s second term bid and deliver the Lagos governorship to APC candidate Dr. Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat in 2027.
The inauguration took place on Sunday, 23 August, 2026 in Eti-Osa East LCDA, Lagos, with the Lagos State Board of Trustees Chairman of KOH Consolidated Renewed Hope 2027, Ismal Azeez, describing the exercise as a new beginning and a strong demonstration of the party’s commitment to securing victory at all levels in the coming elections.
Azeez, a former vice chairman of Eti-Osa East LCDA, said the mobilisation is specifically designed to deepen grassroots engagement and ensure that the vision and programmes of the KOH team reach every ward, household and community within the LCDA. He charged the newly inaugurated coordinators to see their appointments as a call to service rather than mere titles.
“Leadership is not about titles alone, but about responsibility, service, loyalty and commitment to our great party,” he said. “We charge the coordinators to work collectively towards victory for the APC at all levels. The success of the party will depend largely on effective mobilisation, communication, unity and commitment.”
He further urged the coordinators to build an inclusive political structure where youths and women are fully integrated and committed party members are given meaningful opportunities to contribute to the campaign.
The Elejigbo of Langbasa Land, Oba Azeez Badiru, represented by the Aro of Langbasa, High Chief Rufai Agbomabini, charged the newly inaugurated coordinators to intensify efforts to encourage greater youth participation in the 2027 elections.
Oba Badiru commended the organisers for promoting youth involvement and urged young people to participate actively in the electoral process.
“We appeal to the youths to come out en masse and cast their votes for President Tinubu for continuity,” he said.
The state coordinator of KOH, Sanni Bamgbola, tasked the newly inaugurated team with delivering stronger grassroots mobilisation and ensuring victory for the APC in both the presidential and governorship elections. He said youths had been actively carried along across communities and that many were already participating in the party’s mobilisation and campaign activities.
Bamgbola said the KOH initiative is focused on communicating the achievements of the Tinubu administration and promoting its policies and programmes at the grassroots, while also consolidating the achievements of the present Lagos State administration under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu through the incoming administration of Hamzat.
“We assure the President that Lagos youths are ready to cast their votes for him come 2027,” he said.
A community leader in Ajah, Chief Kazeem Odunlami, commended Azeez for facilitating the inauguration, describing it as an important step toward strengthening grassroots participation and youth inclusion.
He expressed optimism that increased political participation would ensure that communities in Eti-Osa East secured greater representation in government.
“We want our people here to become commissioners, special advisers and other top officials,” he said. “That is why we are putting more effort into canvassing votes for the APC at the next elections.”
Speaking on behalf of the newly inaugurated coordinators, Abiodun Adeyemi thanked party leaders for the confidence reposed in the team and pledged that the coordinators would work diligently, mobilise effectively and remain committed to securing victory for the APC in Eti-Osa East in the 2027 general elections.
