The National Youth Wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has opened applications for the 2026 Zacch Adedeji Taxation and Fiscal Policy Fellowship, a programme designed to groom young Nigerians to drive reforms in taxation, public finance and economic governance.

The initiative was announced in a statement issued on Friday,31 July,2026 by the APC National Youth Leader, Dayo Israel, who described the fellowship as a strategic investment in developing a new generation of fiscal innovators and policy leaders capable of addressing Nigeria’s economic challenges.

According to him, the fellowship seeks to equip exceptional young Nigerians with the knowledge, skills and practical experience required to shape the country’s fiscal future, while promoting transparency, accountability, innovation and effective public finance management.

“Nigeria’s fiscal transformation requires a new generation of young people with the competence, creativity and courage to design solutions and build institutions that work. The Zacch Adedeji Taxation and Fiscal Policy Fellowship is our deliberate investment in those young Nigerians who will not merely discuss policy but help shape and implement it,” he said.

Israel added that the programme was part of efforts to build a generation of fiscal innovators and policy leaders who understood that nation-building demanded competence, integrity and a deep commitment to public service.

The organisers said the fellowship is open to young economists, accountants, finance professionals, lawyers, tax practitioners, policy analysts, public finance experts, revenue administrators, strategic communicators and other qualified Nigerians with an interest in fiscal policy and national development.

They explained that successful applicants would undergo expert-led training, mentorship, practical policy engagements, field visits and collaborative problem-solving sessions focused on taxation, revenue mobilisation, digital transformation, fiscal governance and sustainable economic growth.

According to the organisers, the initiative is designed to build a pipeline of young professionals capable of developing practical solutions to Nigeria’s fiscal and economic challenges, while strengthening public sector leadership.

Applications for the fellowship opened on July 28 and will close on August 15, 2026, with interested candidates expected to apply through the designated online application portal.
