Gunmen on Saturday, 8 March, 2025 killed Oluwatosin Onamade, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship aspirant in Lagos State. Onamade, who was vying for the chairmanship position for Ijede Local Council Development Area was killed in Ijede, Ikorodu on the night of Saturday, 8 March, 2025. The Lagos State Police Command on Tuesday, 11 March, 2025 arraigned a 27-year-old man, Somtochukwu Ofobuike, before an Ojo Magistrate Court in Lagos presided over by Magistrate L.K.J. At least 30 people, including an undergraduate, have been confirmed dead after an outbreak of meningitis in four Local Government Areas of Kebbi State, thegazelenews.com reports.
