In a touching display of gratitude, students of Caleb University Staff School, Imota, paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of Imota Local Council Development Area, Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele, in a gesture of appreciation for his continuous support for education and youth development within the council area.
The visit, which took place on Wednesday, 4 March, 2026, provided the students with a rare opportunity to gain firsthand insight into the operations of local government, helping to bridge the gap between classroom learning and practical civic engagement.

Accompanied by their Head Teacher, Mrs. Fasanmi, and other members of staff, the students expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Chairman for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to improving educational opportunities in Imota LCDA. The delegation also used the occasion to formally present the school prefects with their staff of office.

In his remarks, Hon. Benson warmly welcomed the students and their teachers, commending the pupils for their dedication to academic excellence. He encouraged them to remain focused on their studies and strive to become responsible leaders in the future.

“Your visit today inspires me to do even more for our youth. Education remains a top priority for my administration, and seeing your enthusiasm strengthens our resolve to continue supporting students across Imota LCDA,” the Chairman said.

He also shared valuable insights on leadership, civic responsibility and public service, advising the newly appointed prefects to lead by example, inspire their peers and uphold the values of their school.
Speaking during the visit, Headteacher, Mrs. Fasanmi commended Hon. Benson and the Vice Chairman, Hon. (Princess) Abisoye Omowunmi Jimoh, for their people-oriented policies and developmental initiatives across the LCDA. She noted that such educational excursions help students better understand governance and inspire them to actively participate in community development.
A major highlight of the visit was the presentation of a prestigious award to the Chairman in recognition of his exceptional leadership, visionary policies and outstanding commitment to community service and educational advancement.
