Breaking: INEC Declares Soludo Winner of Anambra Governorship Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo as the winner of the governorship election held in Anambra State on Saturday, 8 November, 2025, reports thegazellenews.com

Incumbent Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) polled a total of 422,664 votes to defeat his closest opponent, Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Thegazellenews.com reports that Ukachukwu polled 99, 445 votes to come a distant second in the election.

The Returning Officer for the governorship election, Professor Edoba Bright Omorege, who is also Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin declared Soludo the winner of the election.
