There was widespread jubilation across Ifo Kingdom in Ogun State as renowned entrepreneur and Megabond boss, Otunba Olumide Osunsina, emerged as the new Olu of Ifo following a unanimous decision by the town’s accredited kingmakers.

The selection, which took place at the Ifo Local Government Secretariat, saw all five kingmakers endorse Osunsina as the preferred candidate to occupy the revered traditional stool. The decision has been hailed by residents and stakeholders as a reflection of unity and consensus within the kingdom.

Soon after the announcement, supporters, community leaders, youths, and well-wishers trooped out to celebrate the emergence of the respected businessman, expressing confidence in his ability to lead the ancient town into a new era of progress and development.

Otunba Osunsina is widely known as the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Megabond Investment Limited, a leading real estate and property development company. He has earned recognition over the years for his entrepreneurial achievements, philanthropy, and commitment to community development.

The kingmakers who participated in the selection process include the Balogun of Ifo Land, High Chief Adisa Adeyemi; Otun of Ifo Land, High Chief Mutiu Ogunjimi; Osi of Ifo Land, High Chief Soliu Olalekan; Ekerin of Ifo Land, High Chief Ibrahim Dende Adelanwa; and Jagunmolu of Ifo Land, High Chief Adetunji Adebayo.

Many residents believe the emergence of Osunsina as Olu of Ifo will strengthen peace, preserve the kingdom’s rich cultural heritage, and attract greater socio-economic development. Attention now shifts to the completion of customary and statutory procedures leading to his formal installation as monarch.
