Dr. Adekunle Olayinka, FNSE, the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Works, has added another feather to his cap following his recognition by the Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN) for his outstanding contributions to engineering, infrastructure development and public service.
The award, which recognises professional excellence, leadership and commitment to service, further underscores Dr. Olayinka’s contributions to the development of infrastructure in Lagos State.
As an accomplished engineer and public servant, Dr. Olayinka has continued to bring his wealth of experience, technical expertise and professional knowledge to bear in supporting the administration’s efforts to improve infrastructure and enhance the quality of life of Lagos residents.
The APWEN recognition also reflects the growing acknowledgement of his impact within the engineering profession. His leadership, professionalism and dedication to duty have continued to earn him commendations from colleagues, professional bodies and other stakeholders in the engineering and public service sectors.

Speaking while receiving the award, Dr. Olayinka expressed appreciation to APWEN for finding him worthy of the recognition. He thanked the professional body for taking note of his contributions and considering him deserving of the honour.
He further pledged his continued support for the association, assuring APWEN of his commitment to promoting and projecting the body both within Nigeria and in the diaspora.
