The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) on Monday, 21 October, 2024, officially announced upcoming recruitment across the country.

This opportunity, according to the agency, is open for both young and dynamic graduates who wish to join the FIRS  as Tax Officers (Officer I and Officer II) in various locations across Nigeria.

This was contained in an official announcement on its verified X page calling on prospective employees to apply.

The recruitment gives opportunities for individuals eager to make a significant impact on public service and contribute to national development through efficient tax administration.

However, the FIRS stated it seeks candidates who are not only skilled but also courageous, principled, and ready to excel in the field of taxation.

The announcement encourages young professionals with strong integrity and a passion for problem-solving, analytical thinking, and effective communication to apply.

Ideal candidates are also expected to demonstrate the ability to thrive in a professional environment and contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s tax revenue maximization efforts.

“As a key government agency, the FIRS plays a vital role in revenue generation, which is essential for national growth and development.

“Therefore, the recruitment drive focuses on filling the ranks of its Officer I and Officer II positions with dedicated individuals who will help the agency achieve its goal of simplifying tax collection and increasing national revenue,” the agency said.

While specific details regarding application procedures, deadlines, and submission requirements have not yet been released, interested applicants are encouraged to stay tuned for updates.

FIRS stated it will soon publish the detailed application guidelines on its official website.
