Famous Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Funke Akindele, on Monday, 24 August, 2026 celebrated her birthday with a message of gratitude to God and vowed to open more doors, nurture more talents in the make-believe industry, reports thegazellenews.com.
Akindele was born on August 24, 1977.
The actress, who celebrated her day, through a post on her official social media pages on Monday, 24 August, 2026 thanked God for what she described as His faithfulness through different seasons of her life, including her successes, mistakes and challenges.
“Today is my birthday. My heart is full of gratitude to God for all He has done, all He is doing, and all that is still to come,” she wrote, adding that God had remained her “strength and shield” through every experience, adding that she had received the grace to learn and become better even when she had fallen short.
“Through every season, every lesson, every win, every mistake and every challenge, God has remained my strength and my shield.”
“Even in moments when I have fallen short, He has given me the grace to rise, learn, keep going and become better.” Akindele said, adding that her birthday prayer was for good health, long life, peace and the grace to continue walking in purpose.
