A middle-aged woman, identified as Oluwasola Victoria Adebayo, has died after collapsing while waiting for her daughter outside a Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination centre in Ilaramokin.

The incident occurred on Thursday, 16 April, 2026 morning at Ilaramokin Junction, where the deceased had accompanied her daughter to sit for the examination.
Eyewitnesses said she waited nearby while the candidate was inside the exam hall when she suddenly felt weak, collapsed, and died at the scene before help could arrive.

An acquaintance of the deceased, who identified her as “Mommy Ayo,” confirmed that she had earlier informed him of her plans for the day.

“She told me she was going to the centre with her daughter for the exam,” he said, expressing shock over the development.
At the time of the incident, the victim’s daughter was reportedly inside the examination hall writing her paper, unaware of the tragedy unfolding outside.
The sudden death drew attention from passersby and residents in the area, who described the incident as tragic and heartbreaking.
As of the time of filing this report, the cause of her collapse had not been officially determined.
