Officials of the Katsina State Hisbah Board on Saturday, 12 September, 2026 arrested a woman in Dutsinma area of the state for allegedly selling cannabis, reports thegazellenews.com.
The Publicity Officer of the Dutsinma Hisbah Division, C. I. H. Byareema, confirmed the arrest of the suspect through a statement made available to newsmen.
According to Byareema, the woman was arrested on Saturday, September 12, 2026, by Hisbah operatives working under the command of Dutsinma Hisbah Commander, Malam Shafi’u Ibrahim following intelligence gathered by officers.
During questioning, the woman allegedly said her husband’s younger brother supplied the cannabis, which she sold to make money for food.
The Hisbah Board said it was continuing with its investigation and would take appropriate action based on its findings.
