A man named Sholola Kazeem has been arrested the operatives of Owode Egba Police Division in Ogun state for allegedly pouring hot oil on his wife and stabbing her in the head during an argument.
it was gathered that the suspect, in a fit of anger, carried out the dastardly act at their residence in the Ring Road community of Owode Egba Local Government Area of the state.
Ogun State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, who confirmed the development, disclosed that members of the community reported the incident at about 12:20 pm on Saturday, 18 January, 2025.
According to Odutola, upon receiving the information, the Divisional Police Officer in Owode Egba took swift action, visited the scene, and arrested the suspect.

“On 18 January 2025, at about 12:20 hours, the Divisional Police Officer received a report from members of the Ring Road community regarding an incident involving Sholola Kazeem, a male resident, and his wife, Sholola Mutiat, who reside at the same address.
“It was reported that Sholola Kazeem, in an uncontrollable fit of anger over a misunderstanding, poured hot oil over his wife’s body and also stabbed her in the head.”the state police image maker said.
Odutola , who noted that the victim was rushed to Ore Ofe Hospital for medical examination, added that the crime scene was examined and an investigation is ongoing to uncover all the details surrounding the incident.
