The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Lagos State, Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, will unveil his manifesto for the 2027 election on Friday, October 30, 2026, with a focus on his vision, policy priorities and plans for the state’s development and growth reports rhegazellenews.com.
The Director-General of the PBAT-KOH Campaign Council, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, announced the date at a press conference in Ikeja on Sunday, 25 October, 2026, saying the manifesto would outline Hamzat’s approach to sustaining Lagos’s development and addressing challenges facing residents.
The launch is scheduled to take place at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts, formerly the National Arts Theatre, in Iganmu, Lagos, from 3pm to 5pm.
Obanikoro said the campaign was anchored on “continued shared progress and inclusivity”, with an emphasis on building on existing development projects while ensuring that the needs of different communities and social groups were considered.

He identified transportation, housing, infrastructure, healthcare, education, security and environmental management as some of the major challenges facing Lagos, citing the state’s large population, limited landmass and diverse economic activities.
According to him, addressing these demands would require careful planning, experienced leadership and effective implementation of policies.
Obanikoro said Hamzat’s academic background, including a PhD in Systems Process Engineering from Cranfield University in England, and his reported experience with financial institutions in the United States before entering public service had helped shape his professional experience.
He also cited Hamzat’s service as a Commissioner in Lagos State and his current position as Deputy Governor, arguing that his experience in both the private and public sectors would inform his approach to governance.
The campaign chief further pointed to projects under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration, including the Blue and Red rail lines, road and bridge construction, improvements to schools and hospitals, housing initiatives and support for businesses and young people.
He said Hamzat intended to build on existing developments while addressing outstanding challenges if elected governor.
Obanikoro added that the campaign council had consulted religious leaders, traditional rulers, traders, market women, young people, professionals, artisans and community representatives to gather their views on the state’s priorities.

He said the consultations were aimed at ensuring that the proposed development agenda reflected the needs and aspirations of Lagos residents.
The manifesto launch will be by invitation because of limited seating at the venue.
Obanikoro said the event would be broadcast live from 3pm to 5pm on major television stations across the country as well as through digital platforms, including YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.
He added that the manifesto would be made available for download after the presentation to enable members of the public to review the proposals and submit feedback through designated party channels.
The launch is expected to set out Hamzat’s policy priorities as political activities continue ahead of the 2027 Lagos governorship election.
