The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, is expected to deliver a lecture at the third edition of the Awori Summit, which will focus on repositioning the Awori Nation through politics and economic development.
The summit will hold on Wednesday, 16 September, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Oranmiyan Hall, Lagos Airport Hotels, 111 Obafemi Awolowo Way, Ikeja, Lagos.
With the theme, “Repositioning the Awori Nation: Driving Politics and Economy, and Modern Day Nigeria,” the summit will also commemorate the fifth coronation anniversary of His Royal Majesty, Oba Engr. Sulaiman Adekunle Bamgbade Ayodele Edun Alaka III, Arole Ogunfunminire, Olofin of Isheri Mole and Adimula of Awori Kingdoms.
The summit is expected to explore ways of moving the Awori people from subsistence to sustainable development by leveraging politics and the economy as key drivers of growth.
The organisers said the transition to sustainable development was no longer optional but essential to the future of the Awori Nation.
Speaking Further, organisers explain that the summit would promote a legacy of prosperity, equity, cultural pride and global relevance, with the goal of ensuring that the Awori people move beyond their historical significance to play an active role in shaping Nigeria’s future.
