
The Secretary of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), Alhaji Mutiu Are; the Organising Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the south west zone, Dr Lateef Ibirogba are part of party Chieftains named by the Lagos State chapter of the party to head the some of the reconciliation committees to reconcile members who were aggrieved over the conduct of the last primary elections to pick the party’s candidates for the coming council elections in the state, reports thegazellenews.com
Thegazellenews.com reports further that while Alhaji Are heads the reconciliation committee for the Lagos West Senatorial District II, Dr Ibirogba heads the Committee to reconcile members in the Lagos East Senatorial District.

Former Deputy Governor of the State, Princess Sarah Adebisi Sosan heads the reconciliation committee for the Lagos Central Senatorial District while party Chieftain, Chief Bode Oyedele heads the Committee for Lagos West Senatorial District I.
The Chairmen and members of the committees were inaugurated on Tuesday, 3 June, 2025, by the state Chairman of the party, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi at the party secretariat in Acme Road, Ikeja.

A statement by the Publicity Secretary of the party in the state, Mogaji Seye Oladejo, stated that members of the committees are:
Saheed Afonja, Sumbo Onitiri and Sade Bakare for Lagos East;
Funsho Ologunde, Adedoyin Banjo and Adigun Olalekan for Lagos Central;
Jide Damazio, Alhaji Aleshinloye and Comfort Olalere for Lagos West I;
Jumoke Okoya-Thomas, Otunba Kehinde Adeniyi and Adeola Rashidat for Lagos West II.
According to the statement, the committees are expected to resolve all conflicts, discontentment and dissatisfaction aftermath of its primaries for the emergence of candidates for the forth-coming local government elections.
Thegazellenews.com recalled that It will be recalled that there have been series of protests over the outcome of the primaries.
Among the disputed council areas are: Agege, Orile Agege, Agbado-Okeodo, Ikosi-Isheri, Lagos Mainland, Ejigbo, Eti-Osa and Olorunda.
There have been various allegations ranging from over voting to manipulation and outright imposition of the primary elections result.
The committees have been given two weeks to submit their reports.
