Hon. Hakeem Abiodun Muniru has been appointed Secretary of the Transportation and Logistics Committee of the APC Lagos State Campaign Council, a development his supporters have described as a well-deserved recognition of his capacity, commitment and years of service to the party.
The appointment was celebrated in a statement issued by the AK Supporter Group and signed by political commentator, public affairs analyst and grassroots mobiliser, Abdulsalam Olasunkanmi, popularly known as Ayekooto.
According to the statement, the appointment reflects the confidence reposed in Muniru by the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), given his experience and demonstrated ability to deliver when responsibility is entrusted to him.
The statement explained that within the context of political campaigns and elections, transportation and logistics are far from ordinary administrative functions, but critical components of mobilisation, coordination and effective campaign operations, noting that the ability to properly organise people, movements, materials and activities significantly influences the effectiveness of a campaign structure.
“It is therefore significant that a man with your organisational experience and grassroots understanding has been entrusted with such a strategic responsibility,” the statement read.
The group commended Muniru’s consistent demonstration that genuine commitment to a political party goes beyond occupying a position, describing it as showing up when the party needs him, contributing ideas, mobilising people, building relationships and delivering results for the collective interest.
According to the statement, Muniru’s journey within the APC family, from grassroots engagement to constituency politics and wider party activities, has continued to reflect an understanding of what it takes to build structures that work and bring people together towards a common political objective, with the latest appointment described as another acknowledgement of the capacity he has built over the years.
The group expressed confidence that the trust reposed in Muniru would be justified through effective coordination, discipline, innovation and commitment to the success of the APC Lagos State campaign organisation, noting that consistent service to a political organisation does not go unnoticed, as those who dedicate their time, resources, experience and energy to strengthening the party eventually earn the trust to handle greater responsibilities.
“As you assume this new responsibility, we pray for wisdom, strength and success. May your wealth of experience continue to contribute positively to the growth of our party and the success of the campaign council,” the statement read.
The group rounded off the statement by congratulating Muniru on the appointment, expressing confidence that he would rise to the greater expectations that come with the new responsibility.
