The publisher of Ovation International, Dele Momodu, has claimed that his soul has left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), just as he also gave reason why the opposition party will not defeat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027 general elections
Momodu, who stated this during an interview on the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State’s programme, on Tuesday, 10 June, 2025, bemoaned the division within the PDP.
According to the PDP chieftain, forces within and outside the party will make it very difficult to defeat the ruling party in 2027 general elections
“My soul has left the PDP; it’s only my body that remains. “If the PDP were united, it could defeat the APC in 2027..But too many forces within and outside are fighting against this.”
His comments come following a deluge of defections from the PDP to APC.
Momodu added that, “the ruling party’s strategy is to weaken the opposition.”
