A Chairman of Accord Party in Irewole Local Government Area of Osun State has been arrested by the police early in the morning, reports thegazellenews.com
Thegazellenews.com learnt that the Chairman, whose name has not been disclosed, was arrested alongside some Accord Party members with thousands of Permanent Voters Card (PVC) allegedly collected by force from voters in Ikire.
Thegazellenews.com gathered that the Accord Party had been strategising on how to distrup or at least reduce votes in the local government and Ikire in particular.
Ikire is the hometown of the All Progressive Congress’s Governorship Candidate, Mr. Bola Oyebamiji.
Those arrested are said to be taken to the police station in Ikire for question.
As at the time of filling this report, the police have yet to address the media.
