Alimosho Local Government has distributed over 500 General Certificate of Education (GCE) forms to prospective students seeking admission into tertiary institutions.
The gesture is the first major education programme organized by the local government under the new administration of Hon. Akinpelu Ibrahim Johnson, Chairman of Alimosho Local Government.

Akinpelu, who campaigned on a welfare-focused agenda, said, “During the electioneering period, we campaigned vigorously to ensure education for all and abundant food, among other people-friendly policies we designed for this administration. This is one of them, and we’ve started implementing it today.
“We’re giving out GCE forms to support your education, and as a government, we’ll ensure follow-up support in your career pursuit. I can assure you, we’re just starting, and we have plans for you.

“However, don’t see this as just a free gift; see it as a vital part of your life. Study hard, prepare for the exams, and strive to excel.
“You can be whatever you want to be if you take your education seriously and avoid distractions. Count on us as a government and as parents; we won’t let you down. In return, we expect the same energy and dedication from you. Don’t disappoint us”.
Some of the beneficiaries who spoke with our correspondents expressed appreciation to the council Chairman.
They assured him that they will make the best use of the opportunity given to them by the Akin Johnson administration to further their education
