The Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) finds it necessary to address recent comments made by Mr. Peter Obi, the perennial presidential hopeful and former governor of Anambra State, who claimed he has “said nothing about the PDP or ADC.”
This statement, as convenient as it may sound to his supporters, is not only false but represents yet another instance of Mr. Obi’s habitual double-speak and public posturing. While he now attempts to paint himself as a model of political restraint, Nigerians who have followed his erratic trajectory know better.

We recall that Peter Obi has, at various times, used carefully crafted insinuations, innuendos, and direct criticisms to dismiss not only the PDP and APC but also other political platforms—when it served his purpose. His exit from the PDP in 2022 was punctuated by subtle condemnation of its internal processes, and his subsequent embrace of the Labour Party was accompanied by lofty claims of ideological purity—claims which continue to ring hollow in the face of his lack of consistency.
Mr. Obi now wishes to deny the same sentiments he expressed to distance himself from parties that once gave him political shelter. That is not statesmanship; that is opportunism dressed in populist garb.

Let it be clear: Peter Obi’s recent political maneuvers, including his recent quiet engagements with leaders across PDP and even ADC factions, suggest a desperate bid to remain politically relevant—not a commitment to any coherent vision. Nigerians deserve better than recycled rhetoric and shallow sanctimony. His assertion that he’s “said nothing” is not just misleading—it is an insult to the collective memory of a politically conscious electorate.
At this point, the Lagos APC believes it is fair to say that Mr. Obi is steadily working to earn a new, unfortunate title in Nigeria’s political lexicon: the political prostitute of the century. One who moves from one party to the next, not out of principle, but out of ambition cloaked in false humility.
We urge Nigerians, especially the youth who have followed Mr. Obi with genuine hope, to take a hard look at the inconsistencies and contradictions that define his journey. A man who cannot commit to a single platform, who shifts ideologies as frequently as he shifts campaign venues, cannot credibly promise a stable future for the country.
In APC , we remain focused on delivering leadership rooted in experience, consistency, and substance—not in theatrics or messianic pretensions.
