Popular Nollywood filmmaker, Stanley Ontop, has disclosed that veteran Nollywood actor, Tom Njemanze, has passed away, reports thegazellenews.com
The veteran actor died on Friday, 18 July, 2025 at the age of 75 following a battle with prostate cancer, thegazellenews.com reports further.
Ontop, who confirmed the death of the actor through a video posted via his Instagram page, disclosed that Njemanze had been diagnosed with prostate cancer and needed money for urgent surgery.
The late Njemanze known for his expressive delivery and commanding screen presence, remains a cherished figure in Nigerian cinematic history.
The late actor, who gained fame in the 1990s, is renowned for his powerful performances in iconic films such as Tokunboh, Pounds and Dollars, Atosa, Issakaba, Osuofia in London, Brain Box, and Igbotic Love.
Colleagues, friends, family, and fans have continued to pay tribute to the veteran actor, offering prayers for the peaceful repose of his soul and asking God to give his family the strength to bear the loss.
