A salary estimates published on MSN, Microsoft’s digital news and content platform, on Wednesday, 26 August, 2026 has revealed the list of highest paid African footballers in the world most watched league, the English Premier League (EPL).
According to the publication, African footballers have continue to play influential roles in the English Premier League, with several stars commanding some of the most lucrative contracts in the competition.
The report said, from established attackers to emerging talents, players from across the continent are making their mark in England while earning substantial weekly wages.
According to report, Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush leads the list of the highest-paid African players in the EPL, based on reported salary estimates published on MSN, on Wednesday, 26 August, 2026.
Players from Ghana, Cameroon, Morocco, Ivory Coast, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Algeria and Nigeria are also represented on the list.
Omar Marmoush – Egypt, Manchester City
Marmoush sits comfortably at the top of the list, with the Manchester City forward reportedly earning £295,000 per week. The Egyptian joined City from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2025 after an impressive spell in the Bundesliga.
His reported salary is almost double that of the African players earning £150,000 per week, highlighting his position among the Premier League’s highest-paid African stars.
Bryan Mbeumo – Cameroon, Manchester United Cameroon international Bryan Mbeumo is among the next-highest earners, with a reported weekly salary of £150,000.
The Manchester United forward joined the club from Brentford and has established himself as one of Cameroon’s leading attacking players in the Premier League.
Antoine Semenyo – Ghana, Manchester City
Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo is also reportedly earning £150,000 per week at Manchester City. His rapid development in English football has seen his value and profile rise significantly, culminating in a lucrative move to the Etihad Stadium.
Mohammed Kudus – Ghana, Tottenham Hotspur, another Ghanaian, Mohammed Kudus, is reportedly on £150,000 per week at Tottenham Hotspur. The attacking midfielder has become one of Africa’s most prominent players in the Premier League after making his name at West Ham United.
Yoane Wissa, DR Congo, Newcastle United,
DR Congo international Yoane Wissa is reportedly earning around £140,000 per week at Newcastle United. The forward has been a consistent attacking presence in the Premier League and ranks among the continent’s highest-paid players in England.
Noussair Mazraoui – Morocco, Manchester United, Moroccan defender Noussair Mazraoui reportedly earns £135,000 per week at Manchester United. His salary places him among the highest-paid African defenders in the Premier League.
Amad Diallo – Ivory Coast, Manchester United
Ivorian winger Amad Diallo is estimated to earn £120,000 per week at Manchester United. The figure puts the Ivory Coast international among the better-paid African players at Old Trafford.
Rayan Aït-Nouri – Algeria, Manchester City
Algerian defender Rayan Aït-Nouri is also reportedly earning £120,000 per week at Manchester City. The full-back’s move to the Etihad has further increased the representation of African talent at one of England’s leading clubs.
Carlos Baleba – Cameroon, Manchester United
Cameroon midfielder Carlos Baleba is reportedly set to earn around £90,000 per week after completing his move to Manchester United from Brighton & Hove Albion. The 22-year-old spent three seasons at Brighton after joining from Lille in 2023 before securing his high-profile move to Old Trafford.
Baleba’s reported salary places him below several established African stars but still among the better-paid young African players in the Premier League.
Alex Iwobi – Nigeria, Fulham
Nigerian midfielder Alex Iwobi is estimated to earn around £80,000 per week at Fulham.
That translates to approximately £4.16 million per year, excluding bonuses. Iwobi joined Fulham from Everton in September 2023 and remains one of Nigeria’s most prominent players in the Premier League.
