Nigerian singer Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, popularly known as Skales, has questioned, in a viral X post, why an unnamed senator allegedly exposed for having ties to terrorism has not been arrested and investigated.

Skales raised the question in a post shared on his verified X handle, @youngskales, at 20:34 on Tuesday, 8 September, 2026.

The post, which had garnered 270,000 views as of the time of this report, did not name the senator in question or provide details of the alleged exposure.

“Why is no one taking the fact that a senator was exposed for allegedly having relations with terrorist serious… why hasn’t he been arrested and investigated yet?” he wrote.

The post drew thousands of reactions, with several X users weighing in on the government’s handling of the unverified allegation.

One user, Ben (@_info2019), claimed that reporting a crime in Nigeria is often treated as an offence in itself, while another, identified as sh (@tobbyshmurda), alleged that authorities had instead ordered the arrest of a whistleblower connected to the matter, describing it as revealing about those in power.

Other users offered differing theories for the perceived inaction. User AKU-EZU-MKPA claimed the Nigerian media would ignore the story, while Larhny suggested that pursuing the senator’s arrest could cost the presidency political support ahead of next year’s elections.

A third user, Kmoney.Supra, attributed the situation broadly to governance failures in the country.

No official confirmation of the alleged exposure, the senator’s identity or any arrest has been made public, and the claims contained in the viral post remain unverified.
