President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Hausa community on the occasion of Hausa Day, describing the Hausa people as great pillars who play a vital role in the unity and progress of Nigeria.

The President made the remarks in a post on his official X account on Wednesday, 26 August, 2026 marking the celebration of Hausa Day at the historic Daura Palace. 

“The Hausa people are great pillars that play a vital role in the unity and progress of Nigeria,” he said.

Tinubu noted that the Hausa language has, without doubt, flourished over the years to become a major language of unity and commerce across the world. “The Hausa language, without doubt, has flourished and has become a major language of unity and commerce across the world,” he said.

The President went on to extend his congratulations to the vast Hausa community as the celebration held at the Daura Palace. 

“I congratulate the vast Hausa community on the occasion of Hausa Day, which is being celebrated at the historic Daura Palace today,” he said.

The message was signed by Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and was also shared in Hausa translation alongside the English version.
