Two persons have died and six others injured when a small plane crashed into a bus on a busy Sao Paulo avenue in Brazil on the morning of Friday, 7 February, 2025.

It was gathered that the plane crashed on the Marques de Sao Vicente Avenue and the victims were the pilot and co-pilot of the aircraft.

According to the fire department, four other persons sustained minor injuries.

A woman who was traveling on the bus and a biker were struck by a piece of equipment.

Reacting to the incident, Sao Paulo Governor Tarcisio de Freitas wrote on social media, “Unfortunately we started the day with this tragic plane crash.

“It is worth highlighting the quick action of the fire department, which extinguished the flames in just a few minutes and prevented this tragedy from being even greater.”

Earlier this week,  a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, operated Japan Airlines, collided with a Delta Air Line 737-800 at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, SEA.
