The Director General of the PBAT/KOH Campaign Council of the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, has urged Lagosians to demonstrate their support for the APC by turning out in large numbers to vote on election day.

He stated this while representing the gubernatorial candidate of the party at a faith based engagement with religious leaders at the Lagos East Senatorial District.

He said if half of the 7.5 million registered voters in the state come out to support the party at the election then victory is certain.

Noting that Yorubas usually demonstrate apathy at elections, Obanikoro urged religious leaders to help push the gospel of go and vote. He added that the clergy represents a voice that cannot be ignored.

Recalling that Asiwaju is the first of Yoruba extraction that made it to the Presidency of Nigeria, hence he deserves support to ensure that his vision of a greater Nigeria is realized.

In his remarks, Senator Tokubo Abiru said President Tinubu became president at a very difficult time in our national history.

He said he had been able to stabilize the foreign exchange problems as well as end the corruption steeped subsidy regime.

He listed projects being undertaken for the benefit of Lagos to include Murtala Muhammed International Airport, the Lagos Calabar coastal road and the Lagos Sokoto highway.

The Senator noted that despite the promise made that Lagos will not be neglected when the federal capital moved to Abuja, Lagos had been neglected until Tinubu came.

Saying that reform comes with challenges, he assured that the second term of Asiwaju will address those challenges.

Speaking at the event, Senator Olorunnimbe Mamora, described the flag bearer of the party in Lagos as a man of outstanding moral values and a man of humility, diligence and fair mindedness.

The Senator assured that  Hamzat experience and knowledge makes him the best man for the job.

In his opening remarks, Bode Oyedele, a chieftain of APC, urged the people of the Lagos East Senatorial District to vote massively for the party.

The Islamic cleric who spoke on behalf of Muslim leaders, urged the leadership of the party to go beyond calling them once in a while to one in which policy choices are committed to prayers.

He urged party faithfuls to stand firm citing Quran Chapter 8 verses 45 and 46.

In his own remarks, the Reverend Joseph Ojuolape urged the people to vote massively for APC saying that the President has proven that Muslim Muslim ticket have no relevance in his actions

He urged that there is no room for experimenting in Lagos.

Present at the event were all the candidates of the party from the Lagos East Senatorial District, Wale Raji, Pa Abiodun Ogunleye, Senator Gbenga Ashafa, and many others.
